VERY disapointed in Raghu telling us to "just focus on the job" when everyone is still upset. We're upset because you aren't telling us anything! Hey leader, trying leadING!

He just has to make it look like work is being done then he can collect his cash. I would do that too for the payout he will get.

"All these DEI efforts and yet income inequality is the elephant in the room. Noodle on that Betsy."

Betsy is a hack that can't grok it. She is part of the problem. She is enabling the downfall of the company.

DEI is based on demonizing company founders and innovators of yesterday saying that they exclued some people who were never interested, while ignoring that they created products and companies and hundreds of thousands of jobs out of nothing, yet DEI says nothing about the hired help that came later and were handed executive jobs and now get tens of $ millions in handouts for simply occupying their positons.

These payouts are common in the tech industry and are impossible to justify in any moral framework.

Founders of companies would be the exception, they “created” the value from nothing, but once the company is established and on its way, this excessive granting of stock to the managerial class is indefensible.

Hey Mr. Magoo - (I mean Raghu, but the similarity is creepy) Can we really “ask you anything?

If so, do you believe you or any of the current C level executives deserve $50-100M for their contributions to the company? If so, why? If not, would you consider donating that payday to your faithful employees that are hacked by Hock?

All these DEI efforts and yet income inequality is the elephant in the room. Noodle on that Betsy.

That link is to the additional change in control amounts on top of C-level folks getting accelerated vesting of their “normally” granted RSU. So likely you need to 2x that amount.

Correction: Raghu's payday is $43,576,789 (not $38M). See https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1124610/000112461022000023/vmw2022proxystatement.htm#i516e10f57c6445b1829414d3c818cf69_67

I doubt it’s just $38m. Probably more like $50m

Is there any exec at VMware that you’d like to have lunch with? I’d pay not to have lunch with Ragu.

The main thing is like what con men do.
They provide generalities, and let you fill in the color to make the whole picture.
The con men never give all the details, but you feel they did.

Raghu's main thing is meaningless drivel.
Not surprising, really, given everything he hasn't done.

Is the main thing DEI and ESG? Or is it work hard like we are the Switzerland of cloud.

He's about to get paid no matter what he does. Just has to smile and nod.
