Thread regarding Wayfair Inc. layoffs

Question about layoffs

Considering that most of the orgs were impacted yesterday, does that mean that layoffs are done? It would be nice to know that all employees who were impacted have already been notified. Or do I have a reason to worry about next week and more possible cuts?

Since Wayfair has been doing so poorly this year (Q1, Q2), you can almost bet that it'd continue this downward spiral (alongside a softening US economy) for the rest of 2022 and into 2023. Everyone at Wayfair should be looking for a new job. If you're not hit by this round, you might be by the next round and so on. It doesn't really take much to predict the future when the company is bleeding customers/profits.

Yesterday was phase 1, more will be coming in October. They over hired and they need to get back to normal levels for the slowing business.

I don’t think anyone knows but if earnings get worse I won’t put anything past Niraj
