Time to D-Day

Does anyone really "know" yet the time to formal takeover?

Aside from that will BU's be spun off before takeover? If you get spun off does the NewCo have to honor your current salary?

Looking at the Nov 1 - sometime in Summer/Fall 2023 timeline we could conceivably not even have a 4th quarter

"Since most of the EU takes August off for holiday and the actual holidays cover most of December and January"

BU works faster than this, will not wait for AMER/EMEA/APAC holidays. If they can't close by end of Nov. for their fiscal year, they'll try for end of our fiscal year (Jan 31). Feels like all will be decided by March 2023 (when some people mysteriously get some new RSUs vested.) Let it be done be done as quickly as possible so we can get on with our lives, new jobs, careers, etc.

US has approved and only waiting for EU. Since most of the EU takes August off for holiday and the actual holidays cover most of December and January, then the EU will start to review the deal. Close date guess is from April to June 2023.

No mate. The small number of people who have a seat at the table are unlikely to spout nonsense on here.

Best you’ll get is baseless, unqualified opinion. Fun though!

Lots of puts and takes under discussion. Shopping around of some BU’s, bla blah. Plus unclear of the European blocking I think.

Like waiting for paint to dry.

as far as a spin off, its essentially an acquisition like this one. you get an offer letter from the new company that details salary, bonus, stock (if avail), etc.

They don't have to honor anything. But typically they will offer the same salary and in some cases better, but not always.

It will take around 5-6 months more at most to complete the acquisition.
