Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

How many are currently considering quitting?

Everybody I talk to seems intent on leaving Teradata as soon as they can. It makes me wonder if that's the case for the majority of employees or if it's just people in my group itching to get out. I personally don't plan on leaving just yet but I have been checking job boards just in case.

Teradata invented quiet quitting. None of the big time hires work for their designated 40-hour work week. Just showing up with zero motivation and engagement; collecting paychecks in an endless rinse repeat cycle.

Where are RIFs when you need them…

You should try the quiet quitting thing. A former director once told me that Teradata takes good care of the people it lays off. He was laid off shortly after that talk.

The grass isn’t always greener but Teradata isn’t winning anymore!

I am looking as I have an incompetent Director that is clueless about sales training. It’s hard when you know more than your manager and you have to make every idea her idea. I could be a lot more productive if I didn’t have to explain everything to her numerous times. I was hoping to learn from working at Teradata but I realize they are lagging in innovation and training technology.

I left 2 weeks ago and started at SF this week. It's been alarming and disheartening how modern and competent SF has seemed compared to where I came from. I loved my time at TDC and especially the people I worked with, but it is nice to be excited about your product and vision again
