UCF blatantly violates state & federal employment laws, including discriminating on the basis of legally protected classes /characteristics when making hiring decisions, particularly at full time faculty instructor level.
In particular, a full time faculty instructor was recently hired that was a "preferred race & gender" that not only was not qualified for the job, but after hiring both could not and did not want to fulfill the job responsibilities.
Another applicant for the same position who was not a "preferred race & gender" was certainly qualified, genuinely wanted the position, had more than sufficient experience with positive track record and recommendations. That person was denied the position on the basis of not being a "preferred race and gender".
The qualified person denied the position is suffering not only financially but personal anguish for not getting a position they were well qualified for, genuinely loved, and worked extremely hard to prepare for the interview process.
