SAP Does in deed do Layoffs. 2017 was the last major one world wide. Fact check as well. Companies requiring to ugrade, implement or re-implement business processes using human centred design or similar will be part of SAP's bread and butter. The recent IFRIC (SaaS based projects requiring to be opex immediately - ie no more asset on balance sheet) has serious financial repercussions for companies (imagine taking a $20m-$100m hit to the bottom line over 1-4 years instead of 10+ years amortisation). I would focus on what you can control and don't fret.

SAP does not do layoffs , I am sure some low performing employees are asked to go. But if we don't do it, then we are running a charity organization.
