Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

They do everything to save a bit on severance

The last few months have been especially unbearable to work here. But why? Because they intentionally put us under increasing pressure, they micromanage us more than ever - all with the aim of making us leave voluntarily. It's disgusting. Although I have been unsuccessfully looking for a better offer for months, I can't wait for this agony to end, to get my severance and forget about this place.

Welp if that’s the case, then so be it. I had a fun year doing absolutely nothing and collecting paychecks. Can’t complain

Working 5-10 hours a week? This is what is going to happen in the next two months. Every manager has to develop a budget from scratch. They are going to look at every single employee and ask "what does he/she do?" If the answer is not clear, or "not much", or it's work that can be easily absorbed by someone else, then that employee is GONE. Guaranteed, 100 percent, gone. The manager has no choice because TK is going to demand very lean budgets.

Yeah I’ve literally been working like 5-10 hrs a week tops for the past year. It’s been great. Planning to stay if I don’t get laid off

Well, I dont know which department you work for, but in mine they dont micromanage… since the annaouncement of the acquisition things have not changed at all… certainly your situation is not the reflection of the rest of the teams at Citrix
