An email just came out announcing that the deal is complete. Looks like nothing is going to happen until Tuesday when the GEM will be hosted and the CEO will inform about changes on the direct reports to the ELT. ELT organization and strategy will be be shared at sometime after the GEM. If there will be layoffs, it will probably be in about a week as there is no evidence (according to the communication) it will happen before the GEM. Looks like then budget planning and other processes are still occurring so immediate layoffs are not expected.. in one week or by the beginning of November.

The 1,000+ layoff will occur in small bursts of people being informed by their manager, with HR on the call to answer questions. FYI, U.S. State Unemployment notification is not required when it's done this way (less press coverage).
So, don't expect any internal announcement from the new ELT. People will quietly disappear from employee team lists. Some will post on LinkedIn that they've lost their job, and are looking for help to find a new one. And so it goes... Good luck!
Are you for real? Any email would NOT have "evidence" on when a layoff would occur.
Would Citrix have ever forced this RTO policy on its employees? No way. That should have put everyone on notice (as I'm sure was part of its intention): There is no Citrix anymore. And whatever we work for now treat its employees quite poorly.
Thanks for the clarification, so it's Vista/Elliott trolls that are doing the manipulation now that Kimmel and her team have been terminated. Doesn't matter who anymore, they're not on the side of employees that are being laid of in 'small waives' so as not to trigger the requirement to notify state government Unemployment admins in the U.S.
The PE playbook is common knowledge. It's a charade only the gullible will believe
HR Manipulating things? Clearly a lot of people is not aware that at this point there is no HR... all Citrix HR will be replaced and a brand new team will be set up.. Donna Kimmel is gone and HR knows they are gone too.... Layoffs are delayed because they are not ready to do so.... there are a lot of things that need to happen first like the budgeting of business units, + the replacement of HR personnel.... I am not denying the layoffs will happen, but certainly it will not happen the way panicked people are saying it will be.
Don't be foolish, Citrix HR trolls are trying to manipulate the situation by inserting the hope that the layoffs are 'likely' to be delayed. Trust nothing that these people say. They clearly don't have your interests in mind. You are being played as fearful id--ts, once again... wise up!
It doesnt matter, the company might not be Citrix any longer, but there still a lot of Citrix to it and also I highly doubt that they will start layoff people without an announcement. If that is true, then how can you explain that for the past 3 days almost every single post is about layoffs starting Friday and so far nothing... there has been individuals that are no longer with the company but as far as a massive layoff, it has not happened.. this is just a sample of the general panic created around this merge
I am suprised at the naïveté of believing that the old way Citrix did things will happen moving forward. The company is gone, done, over.
That's the thing, the company is no longer Citrix. It is now part of the Cloud Software Group. What you think you know based on past dealing with Citrix no longer apply. You need to look at how Vista has handled acquired companies if you want to see what will happen next.
I have been working for Citrix for many years and every time the fear of layoffs was around, the company provided clear and complete information about the round of layoffs, start date, end date and process in general. At this time that has not happened so there is no reason to believe it will just happen without people being aware and honestly what is said by the media is just noise... like the multiple times Goldman Sachs were looking for a "potential" buyer and at the end nothing happened.
