Thread regarding Comcast layoffs

A company where many pray to be laid off

I am still here but I hope that I will be a target. If I were the leadership, I would be very worried why employees would want such a thing.

I have been working here for a long time and I never would've thought that a day would come when so many people would like to become layoff targets. When did this become such a company?

They’re giving out packages yet again…early retirement…asking ppl that are 59 or older. If you’re one, take it, because if you don’t I promise you will be without a job within the next 6 months, and you will NOT get the same offer you get now.

There is another round of cuts coming, Field service is next to be hit as they just signed on a bunch of contractors!!Im not here to make friends I’m telling you I saw this with my own eyes. You will get one week severance for every year of service. I’m so sorry, but cable is a dead industry. This company is profit over people, and with no medical to pay contractors.

As a long term engineering contractor in the Philly HQ, almost a decade, and working in the new CTC with a beautiful view of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and Art Museum, I was very happy getting the boot so Comcast stock can once again soar to new heights ;) BTW, I had four offers (actually, probably five... I ghosted that one) and scored a full-time remote position earning about 60% more in overall compensation. Thank goodness for Comcast cutting me loose. I am once again excited to go to work.

Loser haters need to put their money where their mouth is and QUIT, let somebody who cares keep their job. TONS of jobs out there right now.

I’ve seen a million people laid off over decades in the field. Many many people who are positive and hard workers end up getting rehired. I would recommend #1 don’t take it personally if something does happen #2 always work hard #3 never ever burn any bridges. There you go, my “how to keep the Gremlins away” speech.

So now the remaining NED Care employees are supposed to be excited about Customer Service Week? Comcast has not cared for its customers or employees for quite some time now.

NED Care- cut 1/3 of there tech support, 99 percent of the advanced repair team, and have combined the billing and retention team. Leadership to agents were cut over 2 days, and there was zero communication. Basically people sat around waiting to get a 30 min meeting to be fired.
