There will be no layoffs…there will be optimization, reorganization, restructuring, or whatever the new catch phrase is for 2022…new leadership, new beginnings
Start with the Tech Center VP level and clean out that rot. A useless bunch of sychophants that talk a good talk to their bosses but couldn't manage their way out of a mouse trap. Nothing more demoralizing than working for managers that are also cowards.
- S. layoffs were in Q3, they’re likely going to spread the next round into Q4.
New VP of Canada Gas likely looking to make a splash and show some ruthlessness to justify the promotion. Not to mention of what resident hatchet man likely has planned in the Tech Center…
Magic eight ball says..... outlook cloudy but most likely YES.
At some point in the near future there will likely be some layoffs as a result of that cost cutting initiative. I have little confidence in managements ability to identify the correct roles/people who need to be cut. There is a long list of things I don’t feel confident in our management to do correctly. Vastly overpaid, club of people connected to one another.
I hope not, but in the meantime I'm looking for a new job.
