Apparently, more people were let go from Canon USA this week under the guise of organization restructuring, and consolidation of roles and departments. We're talking people with 20+ and 30+ years of service, being escorted out of the building like criminals without a chance to say good-bye to anyone or to collect their belongings. Imagine surviving through the pandemic, helping the company get back on its feet as the world gets back to normal - then they do this you? Terrible!

Yup, Canon Virginia did the same thing to me. 30+ years (all with exemplary annual performance reviews) and got a phone call at home telling me to never step foot on the property again.
