I literally cannot concentrate on work at all while thinking about whether I will be affected. The uncertainty is the worst.
I would rather know right away that I will be cut than having to go through this stress thinking about whether I will be a target or not.

Update: As of a week ago that number has been changed to 300 about to be let go. Due to bigger than anticipated headwinds.
Imagine being hired after almost a year searching due to economy and reading one of those emails within a week of being hired about the possibility! Like why hire all the new employees if you knew, and they did know! I stopped looking for work when I wouldn’t have! They could have hire temp or seasonal. To add to the rural area I am from will make it even harder to find another employer. But what is even more alarming is that under WARN they wouldn’t be required to give any new employee who has worked for them less than 6 months any type of notice!
No details yet, but the 'work reduction' aka workforce reduction followed by the Power of Giving campaign push seemed a little tone deaf.
