If you’re a Boeing lifer and not ready for retirement, where are we supposed to go next? Boeing purposely paid us the bare minimum to stay alive and made our skills atrophy so they couldn’t demand more money. There’s no other company is going to hire ex Boeings because the words out they don’t have the speed, urgency and relevant skills required to function in modern day IT and finance - by design courtesy of BOEING sheetbag management.

I feel sorry for you if you are still stuck at Boeing.
If you're a Boeing lifer please call or text 988 immediately!!
There is no gravity...Boeing just sucks...
Seems to me that the bigger problem to Boeing's impending death is the death of democracy around the world. The fascists just took control of Italy today. This nearly happened to the US in 2020. Woman rights have already been lost in the US and more rights including g-n ownership will be lost if the fascists have their way. Fascists don't allow the population to have rights that threaten their power. Good luck US!
I try to keep a positive attitude, even though working at Boeing makes it extremely difficult. There are a large number of people at retirement age who are leaving the workforce and because of the difficulty in raising a family and children because of low wages there’s not enough population to replace them. So even though it may seem more difficult to find another job and change careers due to the workforce shortage easier than it has been.
Lots of good people have escaped Boeing and have better life for doing so. Don't give up hope.
Boeing loves to discard us at the worst possible time. Well before retirement age and when the economy is circling the toilet. I worry toilet paper will be worth more than the pension once the dust settles on upcoming bankruptcy. No one is hiring ex Boeings (not just reputation problem but I have nothing interesting or impressive to speak of at hypothetical interview). Years of meetings and processes and dusty old “skills” at a dusty old company. Last poster was right, shoulda acted sooner. Maybe I should learn to code and invent a new breed of dog coin LOL
Boeing is no place to work if you are capable, hardworking and honest. People like this will do much better in another company and different career than aerospace. Don’t get burned out, frustrated and waste your precious time with Boeing. The job market is great now. Better yet, start your own company.
Who said anything about d-mb and lazy? Just because the roles are not designed to retain or gain skills they need grunts to stay humble and they can’t afford to give raises. They have an incentive to make the people unemployable. That system only works for the employee if it’s a lifetime job. Otherwise your just out the door before your ready to retire with the Boeing stigma and no successful interviews.
You should have figured this out a long before now... Being d-mb, fat and lazy is only successful for Boeing executives as they got and retain their position from nepotism. One always needs to have an alternative career option when one works for Boeing.
