Not something to be proud of, but such an atmosphere has been created at Aramco that now hardly anyone takes their job here seriously anymore. Am I wrong?
I have been working here for a long time and it is impossible not to notice how the employees are less and less motivated. There used to be a lot more enthusiasm here.
This is not good, the leadership should finally do something about it.

Too many politics and vested interests being discussed in the MC which creates serious legal risks for a public company
Do just enough to avoid getting fired for cause and quit moaning about everything.
Then don’t care as well. Do the minimum but remain, at least in person, positive and engaged. Yes after while it will start to grate/drive you nuts/need therapy/develop Stockholm syndrome (delete as appropriate)… then you leave with a pile of saved cash.
There’s not a lot more to it! Don’t waste anytime thinking about the company or your career or coworkers. It’s dog eat dog, the absolute definition of a toxic work culture.
Leadership is too busy trying to figure out what kind of futuristic techno babble the Government wants Aramco to issue a press release on. Actually running the company is an after thought. Why should employees take their jobs seriously when the leaders do not? I remember being at a meeting with a counter party Aramco wanted to do a deal with. The counter party asked us ... "why do you want this deal?". Dead silence. The deal made no sense, and Aramco leadership never bothered to explain why they even wanted it. We didn't even know what a ask of them in the negotiation. The team lead should have passed out red rubber ba--s so we could all fix them on our noses.
I remember when people on a project team could attend MC meetings, so at least you got to hear whatever the leadership said. The current CEO started holding those meetings in Arabic and banning most people from attending. I guess the leadership team got tied of pretending to care about running the business.
