Get that lump and time the bottom of the market. Ride it into retirement.
You see D Filippe retired - his department will be purged. Learn to read sign - senior leadership departure means more layoffs for the minions.
It was a typo. Monday, Nov. 21st. D-Day #2.
Based on the emails HR is sending encouraging retirements, it's pretty clear that they are hoping for a natural reduction. Safe bet that there is a target number for retirements and if that is not met, we will see another reduction before the end of the year.
October: Pending layoffs for departments that asked for extensions. Around 1000 employees will be let go.
November: Waiting to see how many people retire.
December: Agency layoffs.
2023: More layoffs.
This is just my opinion. I don't have a higher LLx feeding me information, nor I have access to that kind of information.
NESCsaid my lump sum will be paid icy 15
If you are going to guess, at least make it a weekday. I doubt will be Sunday.
An LL4 I know, not in my department, said that they are readying another round. NESC said they would be thru all the 2000 (remember 1000 was agency) by November. He suggested Nov 20th as a likely round 2 date.
Happy Thanksgiving!
I think more are coming. We are not the first to know as they claim.
we are that wsj target is correct for 8K...so expect another 3-5k cut by november after retirements are done...
I think they will wait to see how many people retire. So not until 2023.
The next round will be in December.
Personally, I think there'll be more before year's end.
