Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Gut Feeling Regarding Layoffs?

I don't know anything, other than the certainty of pending layoffs and positions being eliminated. I don't like the uncertainty of the wait and see but I think I have a running theory on timing. I went back to read through the Tom K next steps and noticed this, "By the end of September, he will announce both the leadership team and the corporate organizational structure for the new company. " We also have the deal finalizing on 9/30. The following week, some sort of RTO that still hasn't been clarified and a Cibco or Tibrix or whatever we are called All-Hands on 10/4.

My gut is telling me that the hammer falls between this Friday and next Monday and those left behind get to hear the details of the future at the All-Hands.

The combined company will keep the TIBCO fiscal year, meaning it ends at the end of November, instead of December 31 like normal people. That is why all budgets have to be set by December 1.

When the company is private, they don't have to follow specific deadlines. The deadlines before were coming mostly from outside. Citrix had to give the guidance every year.

Next couple of weeks will be one phase. Then there's the December 1 deadline for budgets - that will mean more heads rolling as each department figures out who they can afford to keep. Then there will be some transition people . But I agree that one hammer is going to come down relatively soon.

See the thread about "too much time spent here". That has an insightful post.
