“ The first page said there were 2 companies that expressed an interest, but did not submit a competing bid. They may want to buy only parts of VMware and would attempt to do so from Broadcom.”
WINNER. WINNER. CHICKEN DINNER!
Exactly what’s playing out as Hock’s shopping stuff around as we type….lmfao…
I think the last paragraph in this article says it all. Two other companies examined the VMware financial side of things and walked away.
I'm not sure what that means though? Is that just the final date to close the deal by?
“Close by…”
Interesting that VMware asked for 3 more months.

Or Michael Dell did not want any competition with vxRail. The deal is all about him and SilverLake growing personal wealth.
@qpt+1iSLgu33 or maybe looked at VMware’s financials and realized that the only way to make money off the company is to cut costs. Some companies can’t afford to be associated with such strategy even if it is economically sound from a business standpoint. Personally, I do think that Broadcom will approach this deal differently from the previous deal in terms of customer base interactions however, Im not sure about internal restructuring. That strategy may remain the same

....no one else want this thing.... says a lot....
