Are Older Workers (40 and over) Being Forced Out

What Are your thoughts - Are Older Workers (40 and over) Being Forced Out By Citrix Management And Replaced By Younger Lower Paid Employees?

Is age discrimination becoming a commonplace for older Citrix employees. Discriminatory policies has reportedly become an “unwritten policy” across Citrix. Have you been asked, “when are you planning on retiring,” "made fun of being old", or told “seems you're slowing down"?

How about unreasonable timelines placed on projects? How often have you been asked to work an evening or a weekend to make an unreasonable and often arbitrary deadline?

If you believe you have been the target of unlawful and discriminatory practices by Citrix, please leave your comments. Thank you!

It’ll be interesting to see how many of the 1,000 being laid off will be older higher paid workers.

You said, "Is age discrimination becoming commonplace for older Citrix employees?"

U.S. companies in general have been targeting older employees for a long time. This is not new, or unique to Citrix. Plus, American business culture doesn't value experience.

The only exception seems to be the U.S. congress and the senate.

It’s obvious Citrix wants to replace high paid experienced people with lower paid workers and move many jobs overseas.

Did you work at Citrix between 1989 and 2022? You may be entitled to compensation.

My understanding was that if myself or a loved one were diagnosed with mesothelioma then we might be entitled to financial compensation. Is this true?

If you're thinking you're going to get laid off and then sue them for age discrimination, that is going to be a tough road. Hard to argue discrimination when a thousand other people get laid off in a merger.

Age was never an issue at Citrix. Diversity was ingrained in our culture. Who knows whether this will change, considering everything else we are seeing, but let's not make stuff up.
