Thread regarding Baker Hughes layoffs

It was not outlined in my job description

I applied for a job, and now, not long after I got the job, I am doing many daily tasks that do not at all fit into the original job description I was hired to do. Anyone else?
Maybe I wouldn't have complained if the work I'm doing would be valued, but it is already becoming clear to me that I will burn out and leave this place sooner than I thought.

Welcome to Baker Hughes! I've been wearing 3 hats for two years with no end in site!

Don't believe anything here until you see it with your two eyes. Good habit to get into when working in any part of the energy industry!

You must work at the Jacksonville , Fl facility. More with less!! The death rattle of a failing buisness.

Welcome to Emmott rd where the managers know how to do everyone else's job but their own.

I worked 13 years for Baker. Never had a job description. Spent most of my time wandering around office with paper and ruler in my hand.

Anybody else you ask?
Welcome to BH, where nobody really knows what it is they are supposed to be doing.

The Baker, or at least the OFE services way. Give you a job, change it (but don’t tell you) then when your manager is getting a hard time from above you’re thrown under the bus. But there were always lots of weasel words about ‘support’. And that’s Despite the manager not speaking to you from one week to the next.
Seriously horrible place to work.

Unless you are on your hands and knees under the bosses' desk...it's in your job description under "other duties as assigned."
