Thread regarding Warner Bros. Discovery, Inc. layoffs

This Could Be More Than Just Layoffs... Yikes.

just a few days ago leadership was targeting 30% of ad sales/$3B in cost savings, but that was before the stock was threatening $11 per share. Given market dynamics beyond Zaslav's control, there is a real possibility we could be looking at lights out for everyone. Not just layoffs, but a full-blown liquidation. I know our friends in the news are still bullish on the companies they represent but the bottom really could be falling out on this 100 year-old industry of centralized media, and that goes for comcast, paramount, netflix, and disney as well.

The times they are a-changing, and rapidly. Don't say you weren't warned.

Millenials, gen x, and x'ers have no use for media companies. All these media companies are going the way of the buggywhip. I thing the industry will continue to consolidate, but eventually wiil go belly up. Was want to merge with Universal now, just kicking the can down the road.

He's right you know!
Poor Zas, he way overpaid for Warner, he could have, and should have gotten Warner for $10B, and no debt. What a horrible negotiator!
