For the SVP and above to leave, most of the time they would say ‘retirement’ which it means they are forced to leave. If they are announcing to are leaving and join another company, it means they are getting heck out of that by their choice.

I am glad I left by my choice and my boss was micromanaging me. It was bad for me to leave.
He was lucky, as DG and the Cisco Apple Dumpling Gang are Evil to work for. DG did him a favor. He has kids off to college, wife sadly passed and he does not need this Circus we call a company.
He wanted to work an additional 2 years, but RS and DG wanted him to leave now. He was told to say it was his choice however.
I thought he was asked to leave. Also, it was so ‘sudden’ it is like he only has 2 days to wrap it up and go.
