Thread regarding Raymond James Financial Inc. layoffs

I'm free

Well after 2+ years I'm out at RJ. I've been with RJ a little more than 10 years and have seen ups and downs. The downs far outnumber the ups. When I first started there were happy faces everywhere. No happy faces these days. People are doing the absolute minimum to keep the paycheck coming. I've been around IT for more than 25 years and can see thru peoples facades. I can see when someone says it will take a week to do something or two weeks when in reality it is only a couple of days. I'm guilty of it to. Managers know and don't say anything for fear of losing their people. I was fairly senior and people looked to me for answers and I stopped giving them and just wanted to survive. Well a couple months ago I was visiting a friend up north. He works in IT at a fairly large corporation. He told his manager about me and the manager asked to meet me. I was literally offered a job without a resume (I did eventually give him one). Got the job, 35% raise plus help in moving. I know relocation can be hard but life gives you choices. I've been here nearly 6 months and its the best decision I ever made.

nice! I got out a couple of months ago after 3 years at RJ in IT. It is the worst firm with a horrible culture. Not to mention all the late nights and weekends getting calls because systems are always going down. I wish I would've known about this website before I started and this site should be a warning to others NOT to work at RJ.

Your post does not make any sense.
You say after 2+ years
Then you say 10 years
Then you say 6 months

Congrats on leaving RJ but you might want to sign up for some writing classes
