(Bloomberg) -- Raytheon Technologies Corp. beat Lockheed Martin Corp. and Boeing Co. for a $1 billion contract to design, develop and produce a new hypersonic we-pon for the US Air Force, the Pentagon announced Thursday.

Was a minor player would be more accurate I think...
Boeing defense is a minor player in the defense industry who rarely wins major contracts.
So happy I left Boeing for Raytheon 4 years ago! Took my extensive flight controls knowledge with me and I am now high respected and very well paid. Also avoided the Max fiasco and negative association. The managers at Boeing were id--ts and they only cared about their stock options. Competent engineering, quality and safety means nothing to these clowns.
