The employees cannot be blamed for everything bad that happens in this company. But that is exactly what is happening. When will the management finally understand what their job is and start taking responsibility for it? Will it ever happen while we have this kind of management? I doubt it.

Management's job is to inspire not to correct. Low productivity issues on the shop floor are a drop in the bucket compared to the consequences of lazy and stupid management mentality.

Why is it Management's fault when union workers intentionally damage parts or equipment, when they intentionally work slow or hide in the restroom, when they sleep on nightshift, when they complain when a supervisor tells them to get back to work because their break is over. I have seen all of these occur and the union workers complain if management tries to correct them. It's a shame that a few rotten union apples give a bad name to all the hard worked who are trying to do their best and support their families.
If it were not for the management and quality team you union slugs would not have a job. 273 and 66 would be empty parking lots. For we the management and quality teams put on the presumption everything is fine. In reality we know that the cuts are coming.
Who is "management"?
Good teams can come up with great ideas and function well amongst themselves, but it’s the collaboration and merging of those ideas between teams and implementing them as a whole is where strong management can come into play. This is where GE is at a loss.

Bahahaha. If I was Larry, I would be on my own private island someplace warm. I'm just a mid level salary guy trying to get through each day without a bunch of drama.
Look at the stock price, sub $64, does it look like anyone is taking responsibility?
It no longer about the employee - profits and stupid desicions. That is why people are leaving by the droves.

Remember, it is the craft labor (union members) who produce the products that go out the door. If there is a badly produced product or lack of quality, it is the worker's fault, not management. It needs to be made properly the first time, and not wait for somebody else to catch the problem before it goes out the door. The lack of quality and the extremely high cost of fixing the poorly made items (cost of quality) is ki----g GE Power (Vernova).
They're doing what they've been trained to do from the "leadership programs" and at Crotonville. So, why change?
Basic leadership is formed by being the example. The disconnect we see in the work place is in direct correlation with leaders not being that. Dignity in this role was lost decades ago. Will it ever be realized again? We can only wish.
