Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Sorry folks, all our future efforts and finances will be directed towards replacing the sign on the Bridgehampton K-Mart location so the Hometown stores will have to go.

We're temporarily closing these to re-direct our energy and focus towards our new upcoming Full Size Premium Sears openings. Soon the transformation will be completed.

My store is closing . I can't believe it.
My manager told us last week that we were bot closing. No we are put on notice that my store is. I have been lied too

For reasons unknown to me, Sears.com now lists Sears Hometown stores in its own store locator once again, but of course their list doesn't entirely agree with the Sears Hometown list. Sears hasn't even bothered to remove long-closed full-size stores such as Brooklyn NY from its locator.

MY store is NOT closing !!

St. Augustine's posts clearly show they are closing. Stores must be instructed not to use "Closing" or "Liquidation" in their posts now.

I missed the Montana store. Total # is still 136 because Houston TX should also be off.

The other stores say 'permanently closed' if you look at their hours at the facebook link.

At the moment, https://www.searshometownstores.com/store-list seems to be entirely broken. It does not display the list of states.

I think Houston, TX is also closed. Also on the Sears.com website they have Poteau, OK listed. Not sure if that one is closed or still open?
