All these articles about the Russian military in disarray, being routed by the Ukrainians, the internal power struggles, and squabbling, has me thinking about Devon and how the technological ineptitude and corruption would be exposed if we would just get rid of the tumor(s) in IT. We have people that have zero knowledge of what they are doing with way too much ability to sc--w things up, being protected and excused by even more clueless leaders too busy keeping their “We’re the best!” propaganda machine going. Time for an IT layoff of the largest kind.

In my experience, it’s the ones who have been here for 10-15 years that need cut. “That’s the Devon way” and “why would we need to change from how it was set up in 2008?” Are cries heard most often. Especially from those in IT. Apparently they are holding on to what they built because if they had to live on merit alone, no one would want them.
Lol, been a while since I visited this site….Dvn had a huge opportunity during the workforce reductions and wasted it by turning the tower into a building overrun with clueless, narcissistic losers telling each other how great they are. It’s really sort of comical how bad the crusty old engineering tech or revenue accountant, shunned for not wearing cool socks or talking over people in meetings and ultimately cut, outperformed these new-wave id--ts from a contributions perspective…a real “winning” culture
