I don’t expect any this side of Xmas.
Depending what country you live in. There are employment laws. You can’t just sack people. There is notice periods and redundancy money.
But on a personal note. Look after your health, if it is really causing you that much stress. Then it could be better to update your resume/cv and apply for companies you really want to work at. No rush, but calculated job applications.
VMware’s great. But I have no doubt there are other good companies out there.
No layoffs any time soon. Please just relax and live your life. You have any where from 6 months to a year.
