Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

Inspired?

Even the most negative of us must be inspired by the new Strategy for Staples Inc right? Thoughts on last weeks meeting?

The "Best Day" will be when GA is gone!

Eventually there will be only two employees left forcing the obvious move. Checkmate! We were all pawns in this game.

Just like the tech leader in Merchandising let go for no reason, so MANY of us were let go for no reason. Covid, in your sixties, lousy manager who did not like you....but all these employees were dedicated with high work ethic. But hopefully everyone has landed on their feet in an even better position.

EC was let go because he is a follower not a leader. He was there because he would do whatever PS said. PS will eventually move on or be moved out.

EC in Merchandising was let go on Friday. That's been a long time coming. One of the boys of PS. One of the last RS flunky's.

Merchandising cuts too. Our tech leader let go for no reason other than he was expensive. Not looking good for business…

I haven't been on this site for a while. It's the same as I remember - layoff rumors, horrible company, poor pay, JL is a bully. Leave if you're miserable. I did and never looked back. Stop putting yourselves through this..... oh and I forgot to mention "sinking ship". I've heard that for years. JUST LEAVE..........

Run, run, run! There is light at the end of the tunnel. Staples is a sinking ship. Flexible work arrangements are the way of the future.Office supplies and digitalization don’t mesh.

RQD GONE. Bout time. Stepped on others took credit of others work and destroyed the legacy furniture company only to see it thrive under HT. I was impacted by her lack of leadership directly, laid off but still thriving. Karma

I guess if Mr. Lederer (and he knows) is supporting harassment, bullying etc by his Directors toward Management, I guess the plan is working. Just look at the job openings in Management & 1st shift Supervisors all across the nation and the openings you don't see are Managers on Medical leave.

Sorry Mr Lederer, it didn't inspire me. I've heard too many of these forums and they no longer bring out any inspirational thoughts about the company. The multiple rounds of layoffs each year, the low morale, the pitiful wages and the constant change of management has taken its toll on us. We haven't been a great company for many years and very few of us feel it will get better.
