If the unions actually gave a po-p. They would fight to end the railway labor act. Then workers have the say. But keep living the fairytale that team blue supports the unions and team red doesn’t. All a dog and pony show

The country is always on the verge of a financial collapse.
The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
Vote NO and feel blessed that you have a say in what you get when the majority don't.

Do you think the contract would've been better without them? No there wouldn't be a contract and more people would've been unemployed when the UP had their PSR fire sale. I've been through two strikes before and I can tell you that a strike would've had minimal or no benefits for everyone involved with it. The RR employees would've been ordered back to work within probably a few hours, with still no contract and probably given the RR's a better position to negotiate a weaker contract than what is currently proposed. I don't like the current proposed contract myself, but I didn't want to see a nationwide RR strike either. A nationwide strike would've added a huge amount to the inflation and higher cost of everything were paying now without without a strike.

Pay everyone more money or we strike.

$1K bonus???
You gotta do a LOT better than that, there should be some penalties for delaying a contract for year's.
$5K yearly bonus.
Cap on medical.
Cap on union dues.
Going to need at least a 30% bump in pay.
You cut the workforce by at least 30% and we've picked up the slack for 24% COMPOUNDED?
NO DEAL!!!

That would improve my "quality of life".

FYI this will be our best and final chance of a significant pay increase, the stars have aligned in our favor and it would be foolish not to take advantage of our position.

Stay safe

BREAKING NEWS

This just in- the unions don’t give a flying F about y’all- as long as them dues keep coming in they don’t care - y’all are just a paying member - but keep telling yourself the “unions didn’t have our back”. You expected something different?

The union didn’t cave. The railroads finally agreed to serious negotiations. A 24% pay increase is something they’d never have done if there wasn’t a serious threat of a strike. You had the president of the US intervening on your behalf. If it was up to Fritz and company you’d make minimum wage with zero benefits.
