Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

Boeings Business Plan

What is this company going to do? No plans to develop a new clean slate design for the middle market and the legacy 777/777F and 767F will shut down production by 2027. The 747 program is over. The 777X is down for the foreseeable future. That leaves them building the tanker in Everett, the 737 in Renton, and the 787 in SC. The product line just keeps shrinking and Dave Calhoun doesn’t make any announcements about new products for the comercial sector. It takes over a decade from program launch to first deliveries of a new airplane model. With high debt and no cash for future development, how can this company turn around? I just don’t see how other people don’t recognize the severity of the situation.

Recent move to DC was primarily to facilitate Boeing leadership proximity to the politicians they own for ongoing bailout and restructuring discussions.

Entire ELT appointed by Calhoun (and he himself) are horrible. Some of the worst leaders I've ever seen in corporate America. Their business plan is to slash and burn until bail out or retirement. They're old, out of touch, and talentless.

If two words sound the same when you use voice to text it doesn’t recognize the different spelling since they sound the same, they are called homophones.

Ho-o being a prefix you are probably very familiar with with and heard many times.

They are already ahead of the game. Moving to DC and praying for war. Agree or not with the tactic, it is a brilliant plan.

There was a recent survey that 76% of Boeing employees don't know the difference between the words POLL and POLE.

A POLL is where they ask you a question.

A POLE is where your mom dances.

There was a recent survey that showed over 60% of both Republicans and Democrats are against any more corporate welfare.

I think sentiment in the United States is changing. That same pole also showed support for unions was higher than it’s been since the 1960s.

Most people believe corporate executives have abused their positions to enrich themselves and any attempt by a company like Boeing to seek a bail out because of their mismanagement trying to enrich themselves with stock options will not be viewed favorably by the majority of the public.

Hopefully the days when companies are too big to fail are fail. If the government does decide to bill Boeing out then they need to replace the entire board and all the executives with us different company.

Boeing is in the "too big to fail" category - our government simply will not allow it to disappear. It's basically a government institution with a private sector façade, with money trading hands in both directions. What will likely occur is bankruptcy for BCA with massive government bailouts and organization restructure similar to what occurred to the domestic auto manufacturers when they ran their companies into the ground back in the early 2000's.

I guess you don't stay current with the news. Bankruptcy coming 2nd quarter of next year. You don't need a good business plan if your business plan is to just stuff your pockets before going out of business.
