Did anybody here leave a big tech company for a startup? How did it go? Any regrets? I got an amazing offer and I'm considering it, especially with layoffs still looming at Meta. The startup is promising and there's a realistic chance it'll go public in the next two to three years. Still, it's a huge risk. I'm still trying to decide what to do.

I hope you went for the offer. When I left I met employees that were smarter and more hardworking than at a FAANG. The company and team are focused on delivering a well engineered product as quickly as possible, and that creates dynamics that make development much more enjoyable than at an established company. The PMs also understood the product and customers better.
No!! Grave mistake!
Absolutely, yes. Much better financial upside and enough is enough. Go for it!
