Great news if your a salary employee for Giant Eagle. The 2022 weekly raises have been approved. That’s right. APPROVED. It was a tough battle but once again the $9.60 (.24cent) weekly raises are about to become reality. It was definitely a hard decision but the executives agreed to be generous once again this year. With gas, food etc prices going up weekly you can rest easy knowing the Giant Eagle executives have decided to lend a hand. As an added bonus don’t expect your supervisor to sit down with you this year and explain what your raise will be. Apparently they are too embarrassed to have that conversation with you. CONGRATULATIONS to all salary employees who work those 9 and 10 hour day. Those 6 and 7 day work weeks. You’ve earned the $9.60 extra in your weekly check

This simply wasn’t true, at least in my case. I received a 3% raise (and I know with inflation that doesn’t mean as much as it did about a year to year and a half ago, but still…), which equated to an additional $2,100/year or just about $40 per week.
Thanks to Joseph Brandons economy, your 9 dollar weekly raise is like a 250 dollar weekly pay cut.
I was told employees will have to give money back to Giant Eagle.
Doesn’t surprise me. Raises with this company have been a joke the last 5 or 6 years.
