Any guesses when IBM is going bankrupt ?
I'm praying for everyone here. IBM slowly but surely stripped me of my spirit and it looks like they've done the same to so many others here.
Even if you aren't religious, I'm praying for each and every one of you. With a manufactured recession rapidly approaching, we all feel the added stress and weight of providing for our families. I don't know about surviving the PIP in terms of keeping your job, but I hope everyone's spirit survives IBM. Don't let them take it from you.
Learn to say, "No." Learn to work on the things you want. We've given the executives more than enough money to have lifeboats for all of us... but we all know what happens to the lower class (bands) passengers (employees) when the titanic (IBM) sank (recession).
Keep your head up and know that God loves you. Or at the very least, a stranger loves you and sees your pain.
Peace and love.
If you are on a PIP and you didn’t deserve it why would you hang around?
PIP = bye…
- 47%
50/50. Good ones come through. Average or below don’t.
Yes, even horrible workers can survive a PIP
ZERO! you are put on reserve to be let go! If they can't find someone to replace you then you will last until another PIP! Dont waste your time completing the PIP, spend your time looking for another job instead, you are out of a job anyway, it's just a question of when
Worked there 35 years, Retired over 10 years ago, I NEVER saw anyone survive being put on a PIP No matter how hard they tried to follow the plan.
In sales approx 5-10% survive the PIP. It really boils down to luck (right place right time) and having a manager who is willing to work with you vs just following HR’s nuking plan.
Zero
No one survives. It is a different way of RA people so they avoid giving several packages.
