ford and their EVs: sawing the branch they are sitting on. and they are sitting on the wrong side of the saw.
Without contract you will not be getting new inventory and you cant sell ford branded products. You can of course delay the investment until we see where this whole EV game is really going. Dealerships will just take out loans. But if you want fast chargers you first need the electricity for that. And in California you can forget about that completely. The state is broke and broken. A dump.
My opinion is dealerships have had it coming and they don't deserve it better. The buying "experience" is absolutely horrible these days. Dealerships breaking the law left and right, false advertisement, lies, intimidation and the way up to running credit checks without permission and breaking agreements made during the negotiation phase or simply not delivering the vehicle or not having the title of a vehicle they sold. It all happens. And that with these kind of values! it is completely out of hand...
If I owned a dealership, I'd check the franchise contract. If it's not up for renewal, I doubt Farley can enforce ANY of that nonsense.
People won’t be buying a Ford if they can’t get the services close to home for the multiple warranty repair services their vehicle will require.
The Ventura California Ford dealership is closing. Was told by an employee ownership did not want to make the huge EV investment.
Pathetic beyond comprehension!!!! Farley dictating the new EV rules to the dealerships, and he's not even close to having his ship in order...What a Slapd--k!
