@1ya.
They have to be seen to be doing something to justify their salaries, even If they haven't got a clue.
Ship without a rudder If you will.
The removal of the OFE Leadership Team members is well over due. Bristol (or a few who refuse to move from London) is not the place to have HQ for oil and gas business. Their customers are in Aberdeen. Only in Bristol because their awful leader hails from their and wanted to move south. Their way of addressing need to cut costs to meet targets for bonus was let’s cut the workers and it was a target number never a real view of what roles were genuinely no longer required and the cuts were never at their level. Despite the numerous restructures it was never EB and above that were hit. .
GE (OFE ) and Baker (OFS) were miles apart in behaviours. This culture clash together with the flooding of the business with non-UK nationals and useless woke young leadership Programme employees, the constant reorganising / restructuring of the business,, the overpayment of their exec teams, the overpricing of their bids and trying to force their yet to be sold standard product to clients has culminated in the mess you see today. That said those execs being bulleted just now won’t suffer due to pay off.
What is see is a crisis and not the final solution. I’m glad I managed to escape.
Good luck to all the poor souls left behind - my advice is get yourself another job this company will never change its behaviours.

Lipstick on a pig.....again
Happy for upper management: they seemed very thrilled and had a real "gimme5" attitude. Other than that the message was that numbers are numbers and, by the looks of it, they are established arbitrarily (no basis) and are "no negotiable". Cryptic comments about selling solution rather than product and about move on from the product lines. The impression is, by their own admission, that OFE and OFS don't have a clue about how they were organized before, on what they do and on what they need to function going forwards. Most worryingly they don't even know this at upper management level now that they decided to integrate OFE in OFS. Instead of "fast" this OFSE thingy looks more like "unplanned". Will see what the masters of the universe will pull out. In the meantime it's high time to give your CV needs a refresh... you never know.
