Word going around on the shop floor is that there are hiring freezes taking place.
What’s about to happen? Are we in for another round of layoffs? This industry is a stressful one to be in when you can’t plan for anything in the future.

Probably plan to announce some kind of partnership with emphasis for some other Indian company to perform engineering. They love to outsource engineering jobs

Would it be smart to take a job with Boeing right now? I got an offer to work as a mechanic but all this talk is making me worried. I am starting over and don’t want to have to start over again if I get laid off.
Unless you just crawled out from under a rock, you don’t work at Boeing if you need a long future.
Boeing isn’t in a hiring freeze. Things are turning around for the company. Business is about to bo-m. You people are so doom and gloom.
