The previous company where I worked was also very bad but still had better management. Why UP likes to have such incompetent people in managerial positions we will never know, but I wonder where the managers go after UP? I ask, considering that there are not many companies that would hire and promote them considering their poor skills.

I know of a couple of managers that went to others companies to play a manager again. What they listed on their resume as far as qualifications and accomplishments goes would be entertaining to see. No one has to think too hard that their resume was much like their work ethic. It was over-exaggerated and 100% BS. That's how they became management at the UP. They couldn't do anything else. It probably was better to have them sitting in an office doing nothing, than to have them in a yard somewhere doing nothing but getting in the way.
So to your logic, the employees should repent every time they steal time, slow down to make tow-in, stop at the store on the way to a train, or the many ways everyone takes something they shouldn’t. I guess you think you are perfect and never did anything you should not have done.
Every ex manager I know complains and trashes UP way more than any agreement employees. But where do they go? They should take a long hot bath, then to the closest church and repent for their many lies.
