With all the projects in the works and the federal funds coming our way, we should be safe from layoffs for a while. Additionally, so many people have been walking away on their own that there's really no need for layoffs to reduce the workforce. All they have to do is not backfill those positions.

There will be significant cuts
I worked for Amtrak from 1974 until 1986 but in my 7th year Ronald Reagan took office and within 2 months he cut the budget for us and many thousands Amtrak employees lost their jobs. I believe it was so unnecessary because many of us were called back within a few months due to not having enough workers. Biden was spot on about one thing (a job is more than just money for most of us we take pride in our work and the fellow workers that have become part of our life and family over the years.)
Yeah right. Due to the fact that Trump is in office and hates Biden I think it will be hit hard.
