I know it is nearly 2 years now but I still hold a grudge...especially to all the senior execs that did the layoff and ruin of 550 lives. I find it interesting that when I go look at the open positions currently at RJ they consistently have well over 500 positions. As fast as HR hires someone leaves. Morale is a shambles, IT systems are held together with duct tape and the institutional knowledge that has left is irreplaceable as Bella, Vin and Andy have found out. At first I felt bad for the front line workers still there but decided that I shouldn't as it is their decision to stay and work on their ulcers and lack of sleep. I wish nothing but the best for those that were let go.

I can see holding a grudge. I left in 1994, and I still frown on the culture there, then, that brought me to the decision to leave.
I found a great local company that treated me with respect, paid me very well and continues to pay me a pension and provides retiree healthcare.
I had fun working at RJ for the first years I was there, but when it changed - getting out was the best decision of my life.
Some of you RJ sympathisers are pathetic. Paul Riley gives two $#itz of your existence 😂. Good luck working for scumbags. You are more expendable to Paul than his least expensive art work in one of the towers!

Listen. You keep making the same post over and over again. Yes, I can tell it's always the same person. It reads almost exactly the same every time. 500+ openings. Mentioning Bella, Andy and Vin. 550 lives were ruined. IT systems hanging on by a thread. It's honestly just scary at this point. Hanging out in a bell tower scary. Time to move on, bud. Men will do anything but get therapy, won't they.
Two years and you still hold a grudge?
You need therapy.
Life isn't fair. Sh*t happens. Drunk drivers run red lights and stop signs and slam into you ... and they are uninsured. Pandemics hit. Hurricanes obliterate. Lightning strikes.
You get laid off through no fault of your own.
Keep six months of living expenses as cash, yes cash. Build your network of professionals. Start a side hustle. Be aware of Leading Layoff Indicators. RJ management kept saying "headwinds." That means "trouble coming."
I don’t feel sad for them at all. I mean they just got $1000 - a 401k contribution plus a promise of a big raise in December. They better get themselves wheelbarrows ‘cause they’re gonna get hooked up.
