Has Tibco been remote, hybrid, or fully in office? Email was sent today to all Citrix employees that we will be expected back in the office on October 1st. Did Tibco receive the same mandate? Our offices are not even setup to handle this. https://www.thelayoff.com/t/1iC4HYbr

Can anybody tell me if Tibco still has an office in Seattle? Google shows one on Westlake but when I went there I couldn't find the directory showing the names of tenants in the building.
The NewCo platform justifies the merger on the basis of supporting organisations to carry on their businesses in hybrid mode (among other things), with solutions to allow their customers workforce to do their best work remotely, using virtual desktop technology, etc. But it can’t get its own operations to be done in such way. It’s ludicrous to say the least.
TIBCO had a nice campus in Palo Alto, and it was sold. Get ready Citrix.
In the US Citrix owns their building in Santa Clara and 4 or 5 of the buildings in Fort Lauderdale. The rest are leased (Boston, Raleigh, etc). The Santa Clara office has been a ghost town for 6-7 years and has been for sale forever with no buyer. The offices in FTL are not even setup the handle the remaining employees back as only small portion of the office is setup for flex working. Seems like they will expect a reduction in employees before that return date.
They have three goals: 1. figure out just how few people are needed to maintain current revenue streams; 2. halt all product development; 3. sell off the pieces.
Actually, there's a fourth goal for people like Krause: make a lot of money personally while firing as many people as possible. I'm sure he will be successful in that regard.
There will surely be real estate consolidation in areas where Citrix and Tibco both have offices, however I know at least Citrix has already reduced (by half) their existing office space in their Alpharetta, GA location, and there were a large number of people who were on-site only employees prior to the pandemic. The only way this works smoothly is if they're expecting to alleviate potential capacity issues in RTO is through massive attrition and reductions. It's very telling also that there is little regard for Citrix's inherent philosophy of "enabling hybrid / remote work from anywhere" when they are mandating a 2002 style of "butts in seats is the only way to get engagement and collaboration". Clearly it's also a way to closely monitor and micromanage for the new leadership - were people NOT effectively engaged and productive for the last 2 years of "working from anywhere"?
The idea is to get people to quit so that they don't get serverance.
There isn't enough office space to accomodate everyone, so I don't think it's going to apply to everyone.

TIBCO went fully remote aside from a few who opted to keep their office space in 2020. Trying to figure out what non-remote meant from some sources on our side.
