Not only HR, but all the back office support functions are very efficient at Broadcom, which is not different from other successful businesses. Finance, HR, IT, etc. are extremely bloated at VMware.

People in these groups somehow believe they bring differentiating value to the organization without realizing that they are just cost centers and SO easy to outsource. Directors/managers there not only will receive a tough awakening but they will struggle to be successful at other companies which expect leaders with basic management mindset that most of them lack.

These people go to woke colleges and then get into HR so that they can push their woke agendas on other people. They make up all kinds of stories to justify their actions. They call some groups under represented and say that they were denied opportnities in the past. The story is someone who had dark skin color was susposedly denied a job in the 60's so we need to deny jobs to people with light skin color now and give the job to someone with dark skin color to create equity and we will hold up the hiring process for months and months to get it done. I will be so happy to see HR let go.

All I can say is BCRM’s HR is very efficient. Companies that get acquired have no chance in competing with their IT, HR and other support role’s efficiency.

Oh no! Who will be left to tell us how many of the 26 genders we have to interview, before we can hire someone with legit experience?

We have that many HR people and yet they NEVER seem to answer the phone, instead you are routed to an automated message stating “HR is currently in a meeting, leave a voicemail”.
I’m convinced that our HR department is quiet quitting already. They are hard to get ahold of in any capacity.

These general management costs (HR etc) are about 1/10th of the average public company at Broadcom.

  1. They still get the job done, albeit no frills
  2. This isn’t news.

We’ve known this for months. Broadcom has like 50 HR people, and they will retain about 10 of our people, if even that. CA had over 150 people in HR and they kept 8 of them and at this point, I heard only one person is left (not fully confirmed).

Change is coming! Get ready. Rolling blackouts in California due to excessive heat! Get ready. Blah blah blah end of the world. Get ready. Yeh, not really very helpful or original. Thanks OP.
