Not sure if the reason for the decision - was a huge agile shop. Let all of their scrum masters go.

I worked for a company that treated it with cult like beliefs and nothing really came of it.

well I've never understood the role of the Scrum Master, how did it ever become a full-time job ?????? All they do is "ask is done yet ?"
