I'm just wondering if my manager could do even a quarter of the work he expects me to do. Do they even realize how unrealistic their expectations are?
I believe that in other companies in the industry, managers overwhelm employees, but not to this extent.

Point 3 can be directly related to point 2.
There are plenty of Newbies who are willing to take the hit to get their feet under the table in the kindergarten, but as soon as they find their feet, it's offski for them to brighter futures.
A more responsible company would be concerned, or even embarrassed, about the terrible turn over, but...well you know the story.
The reality is there are 15000 less people working for the company now, than there were in 2019. The vast majority of the 15000 people shown the door were known as “Doers” as in they did stuff that earned the company revenue. Not PowerPoint presentations.
The other reality is Rigzone are advertising a ton of positions at BH that go un-filled for months on end, because they are deemed to be such an unreliable employer they cannot tempt former workers back, or the wages on offer are well below the market rate they cannot get people from the competition. Filling the gaps with contractors isn’t working because they are moving on as soon as they can because of the vibe in the place.
Which brings us to the third and final reality or epiphany that the company is beginning to resemble an oilfield kindergarten, with newbies sat playing with lego models of semisubmersible’s, asking anyone who will listen who Derrick is and is he drilling today?
