i got laid off
many other supervisors got laid off
definitely nationwide, and maybe 1000+ employees?
it's not a great look, but not surprising and certainly not limited to best buy as a retailer.
people should remember that if you're lucky, your peers, mentors, leaders, etc will be the ones who truly care about you most and see you as human.
anyone above that level sees you as a cog in the money churning machine.
if you aren't generating enough money, or if you make too much money, your job is always on the line
work smarter or harder, but only the money makers will survive for the shorter term.
longer term? good f'n luck, everyone!!
