I still remember back in 2010 when we got our new/rebranded vans, I joked that the only piece of branding that was removable was the "100% US based workforce" magnet while all other branding was permanent. Sure enough, one morning I came to work and all the magnets were mysteriously gone.
Funny how this company was SO proud to display the US based workforce branding but had the forethought to make them removable magnets EVEN 12 YEARS AGO.

What happened was, they got caught... basically. The first time around with the 100% U.S. based reps campaign, it was basically on the level. However, it wasn't too long until we started noticing reps with suspiciously thick accents and horrible connections that actually sounded like they were coming from across an ocean or two. So, we started asking the reps where they were and they would say strategically "Oh, I am in tech support", and we would say "are you in the USA?" No, they were not. I'm not sure if someone actually spilled the beans, or if customers figured it out too... but suddenly the ads were gone and so were the claims. The off shore reps, however, were here to stay and are to this day.

What happened to Frontier saying they were not going to outsource? They sure did a good job. My guess is they've outsourced what they could to Mexico, Plilippines, and the Carribean. Not to mention, some of the outsourced reps (paticularly Philippines) got real attitude, and try to talk down to the real Frontier emp on the othet end of the line. What's up with that? KEEP FRONTIER JOBS IN THE US. HIRE AMERICAN WORKERS. QUIT OUTSOURCING! Pffft..

Who do you think got them out of bankruptcy to begin with? If they are so financially strapped, 'splain for me the $40 million in executive bonuses that were paid AS the company was emerging from bankruptcy? I can think of lots of ways that money could have been better spent. It's not the hourly employees actions that need examining. Oh BTW, management has been gunning for union employees since we were sold to this sorry organization. They are trying to replace anyone under a contract with untrained contractors that wouldn't know a safety circle if one was drawn around them, and offshore callcenters. This new "rebrand" that's costing them millions sure seems silly when you look at the contractors in their El Caminos sporting camper shells, or when you call in and cannot understand what the lovely Phillipino lady is saying.

Labor costs way out of control. If you're speaking about the executive compensation and bonuses, then I am 100% with you. Something tells me though, that you are referring to hourly employees. Here's a piece of advice, examine the executive salaries and compare them to hourly.... you surely see the disparity. Do they REALLY need that many millions? Now, look at the hourly rate and how it has stagnated over the last decade? Does it even keep up with inflation, the cost of living, even gas prices? That's a big fat NO! Yet, the execs sure do claim they really appreciate the employees, but there is no substance to their words. Emails and platitudes are free, and worth about as much.

Out of control labor costs? I didn't think contractors in the Philippines cost the company that much.

And please be clear the Unions are a BIG part of why FYBR went bust. Labor costs way out of control.
