Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

Enormous amount of stress

I have been working here for many years and so far this has never been a more stressful workplace. The amount of stress is almost unbearable and I've started thinking about quitting.
Unfortunately, I don't believe that I could get an acceptable new offer in a short time. In the meantime, I wonder if the situation here will get even worse?

Don’t quit go see a Dr about anxiety and or depression. Someone on my team was approved for a paid 7 week LOA. Their Dr was very familiar with Fidelity’s process as they had dealt with multiple Fido employees going thru the same issues. Talk to HR and they farm out the approval to a 3rd party. You don’t even have to give you immediate management any details. It did my friend a world of good. Plus we got a new manager who was a lot better and they are now back at work and doing much better.

Same. I’ve been having bad anxiety sad crying a lot lately. The managerial tactics lately are too much. I want time to get out. I feel like I’m being pushed out even though my manager normally thinks I do good work and I get project after project put on just me.

It has continued to get more stressful and I don't see anything changing that trend. Everything has gone down hill since 2008. Best of luck to you in making your decision.
