It sounds like they are finally getting rid of the DSSM position. This was a ridiculous position as nobody was interviewed for the position, it was simply given to the training store manager. Most are less qualified and not even good store managers in the first place. The real issue is that the DSSMs think they are the DL, going into stores like they know it all. The worst part is that our DSSM runs a poor store and numbers are not great, but thinks they can come in and preach to their peers like they are the boss. Very sad that interviews were not held to gain the most qualified. The whole position was set up bad to have your peer get a big head and think they the DL. Sets up for very bad motivation from other hard working Store Managers.

….it was announced weeks ago that it’s becoming a permanent position with the restructuring on 1/1. The name is changing to DTSM to reflect the merge with TSM role. DTSM’s will be doing the same thing they are doing today.
The DSSM position is actually going to Combine the DSSM and the TSM into one position starting January
