My other gf who is also works in HR told me there are no plan for mass layoff anytime soon. They will only focus on trimming the dead woods and suckers. To the dead woods and suckers, you know who you are!

Add your gf to the 7801st number, for sharing company confidential information to someone who posts it in public forums. Looks like she isnt in the layoff list. If so, should she not honor the very HR policies that all employees are expected to adhere to ?
Why shd execs be expected to be open and transparent when the rank and file have employees who are far from honoring the work ethics and rules that they are expected to follow ?

That might be true if all being exited was in CA. As you know meta is global. WARN is needed if a large % from a single office is being reduced or office closed entirely. Thousands spread out all over the world will require no such WARN in USA.

I have another update from my gf... the list is currently over 13k names. The list now includes a reason code. Not all the people on the list will be let go. Some codes mean the position was simply eliminated, but you had really good performance. She is seeing execs keep the top 1-2 people on teams that will be cut entirely. HR is working 12+ hour days to make sure those people can find another position internally. Those moves are happening now!! She told me if you see your team top performers move to another team within meta. then follow them!! Because that is where meta will be make minimal changes in and likely your team will likely be cut to 0. She also said if your team gains two top performers, your team could still face a cut of two head counts to offset the additions. In HR they are calling this a "talent exchange"
