Tell me about it, months shy of 25 years and they eliminated my position along with others. They do this twice a year like clock work. Your just a number to this company and they do not care about customers or employees,only the price of their stock. To top it off they claim that the max severance package that they offer is 16 weeks, most offer 1 week for every year of service. Steer clear of this place if your looking for a career, they will cut you off at the knees for no reason other than saving money. Employees come to work daily worried about losing their job, not a good atmosphere. They claim to be hurting financially but take a look at the performance of their stock over the last 10 years and since they went public. They are doing just fine, by they I mean the executive management team and their shareholders.
Some straight BS. Show some respect to the people that made your business possible.
