I heard that some of the best employees were cut. I hope that everyone affected will soon find new and better jobs.
I am frantically looking for new opportunities because it is easier to get a new job when you already have a new job.
Is it true what some say that there will be more layoffs soon?
Please give any info you have, because my anxiety levels are through the roof.

Layoff for cdk this week or keyloop/cdki since have to ask now on this page due to confusion
This week. Be safe.
Mahesh is next. He’s just too d-mb to see it.
Mahesh, when asked, reiterated again this morning that there will be more cuts. He doesn't know the time as to when. It seems that if your project is not on a modernization path or growth plan, you need to be careful.
BM has invested his own $ so objectively speaking , it should not make sense. But you know what they say, common sense is not common
The first round of layoffs targeted employees who were already questionable, at least in our department. Folks who for various reasons 'had a target on them' already. They didn't go directly for the highest performing people.
But we will definitely lose the highest performing people in the coming months. Nobody wants to work in an environment with BM and DF running the show. Rumor is that RSUs will get replaced with a vesting cash equiv, but that is not guaranteed yet. If they just gut RSUs altogether with no replacement, we will lose a bunch of people we can't afford to let walk out the door. It'll be bad.
BM will make a quick buck I'm sure, on the short-term improvements from people leaving. But if Brookfield imagines this strategy will be a long-term winner, then they got conned by BM and they're stupider than I'd have guessed.
If history repeats itself, you can expect a layoff every other month or so for the foreseeable future.
Support gets cut first . Developers can be re-assigned
What's exactly does tech mean that just the developing group or support also?
CTO confirmed there will be layoffs in tech. Not sure how many and when
